Overview
We created a 16 second-long commercial used on Google Ads and Meta to promote Japanese retro games to overseas customers, together with a dedicated landing page and several sets of static ads visuals that would highlight various product categories available on ZenMarket. This campaign was the first product-focused project that we worked on for the client.
The Client
ZenMarket is an e-commerce company based in Osaka. It is a proxy service that acts as an intermediary between Japanese sellers and overseas users. Many Japanese e-commerce sites are still not able to handle overseas purchases, and ZenMarket is able to bridge this gap and offer their services natively in 19 languages.
The Project
We shot this commercial with 2 models in 2 locations—an apartment decorated with retro game memorabilia, and a local retro game bar. The goal was a transformation, showing how ZenMarket can be your portal to the world of retro games.
We were responsible for every step of the creative process, from storyboarding to delivery, and shot it over a single day.
Using the photos taken on the same days, we created a dedicated landing page and several sets of visuals to use both as ads and organic social media posts. More than 110 banners were created that can be used for Meta ads and Google Ads’ most popular placements.
In theme with retro game aesthetic, we chose to reimagine the existing branded design elements in a pixelated style, with pop neon colors, to capture the attention of retro-game enthusiasts.
